These are not failures of character, but gentle misunderstandings about how growth truly works.
To move forward, we must first see these traps for what they are. The Assumption Gap whispers, 'I will grow automatically.' The Knowledge Gap sighs, 'I don't know how to grow.' The Timing Gap delays us, saying, 'It's not the right time.' The Mistake Gap warns, 'I'm afraid of making mistakes.' The Perfection Gap insists, 'I must find the best way before I start.' The Inspiration Gap waits for a feeling that may never come. The Comparison Gap stings with, 'Others are better than I am.' The Expectation Gap grumbles, 'I thought it would be easier than this.'
But what if, instead, we simply started?
Intentionality means creating a plan, however small. It means making an appointment with yourself for learning, for self-reflection, for stretching beyond comfort. It means understanding that growth is not an event, but a rhythm—a habit, like the rising of the sun.
